Account Deletion

This page explains how you can request deletion of your DogGenius account and associated personal data.

DogGenius is operated by Elouan Capelle EI, a French individual business operating under the commercial name Seros.

1. How to delete your account

You can request deletion of your DogGenius account in two ways.

Option 1: In the DogGenius app

Open the DogGenius app and go to:

Settings > My Account > Delete account

Then follow the instructions shown in the app.

Option 2: By email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by contacting us at:

contact@doggenius.app

Please write:
“Account deletion request”

To help us identify your account, please contact us from the email address linked to your DogGenius account, if possible.

If your account is anonymous, please include any information that may help us identify it, such as your user ID, subscription status, device platform, or screenshots of your account page.

2. What data will be deleted?

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your DogGenius account, including where applicable:

- account information;
- dog profile data;
- dog photos uploaded in the app;
- onboarding answers;
- cognitive test results;
- progress history;
- app preferences;
- notification token linked to your account.

3. What data may be retained?

Some data may be retained where necessary for legitimate or legal reasons, including:

- payment and subscription records managed by Apple App Store, Google Play or RevenueCat;
- records required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal obligations;
- security logs needed to protect the service;
- anonymized analytics that no longer identify you.

We only retain such data for as long as necessary.

4. Subscriptions are not automatically canceled

Deleting your DogGenius account does not automatically cancel your active subscription.

If you purchased DogGenius Elite through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel the subscription directly through the store where you purchased it.

For iOS:
Open your Apple ID subscription settings and cancel DogGenius Elite.

For Android:
Open Google Play subscriptions and cancel DogGenius Elite.

5. Processing time

We aim to process account deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.

In most cases, deletion requests are processed within 30 days, unless we need more time due to technical, legal or security reasons.
